The overall shape had me suspicious, but I was withholding judgement until I saw one in person. They’re pretty awkward looking IMO. Excellent photography disguises the proportions in press photos - IRL they look like a model S someone jammed a straw into and puffed up until it was ready to burst.
This is not my photo, but I think it demonstrates the disparity between a gorgeous press shot and what I actually saw yesterday:
I think it looks like a Honda Crosstour with a Tesla badge. Oh dear.
But hey - what do I know? I like things like this:
Now that’s my kind of ugly.

The world’s most interesting hotel/airport shuttle? Perhaps the fastest production minivan? Maybe the only three row crossover-coupe on the market? Well...it’s something for sure!

I’m thinking of what pretentious vanity plates you could possible put on this thing, considering the Model S took most of them.

Reminds me a bit of the BMW 5 series GT - but with falcon doors, and a sub 4 flat 0-60 time.

Saw one a week or so ago and had the same reaction. Kind of reminded me of one of the big bugs from “Starship Troopers.”

Almost all car ads are photo shopped in some way. Most common trick is stretching the car to make it look lower and longer. Kind of like everyone’s pictures on social media sites. The differences when you see them in person can be stark.

UGH E23s... especially that 745. My dream build would be a 745 inspired turbo build, that would be too cool. One day...

I meant the large c pillar to right rear fender. photo in comments is wider.
the x6 a least breaks it up with that crease. Sheesh never thought id say the x6 has good design.

Aaah ok I understand. You’re 100% right about the crease, it really does break things up. I don’t like the X6 either but it’s definitely a more elegant execution of the whole coupe/crossover/??? idea.
